About the Role:

As a Software Engineer at NetApp, you will be part of a dynamic team that focuses on debugging and testing NetApp’s software products. This role involves creating and maintaining quality standards, executing functional and automated tests, analyzing results, and collaborating with development engineers to solve problems. You will play a vital role in ensuring product quality while staying aligned with customer needs, technology trends, and time-to-market goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand test requirements and design effective test cases.
• Set up labs and configure testbeds for testing.
• Develop, implement, and execute detailed test plans.
• Contribute to test automation with tools such as Python and Pytest.
• Collect and analyze data for problem investigation.
• Write clear and detailed test reports.
• Collaborate in technical discussions with QA, development, and business unit teams.
• Contribute to team and organizational goals by taking on additional tasks.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in software testing, automation, or related fields.
• Strong programming and automation skills in Python and Pytest.
• Basic understanding of:
• Software testing methodologies and scripting.
• Computer architecture, data structures, and programming practices.
• Containerization and microservices (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Storage technologies (SAN, NAS, Object Store) and cloud services.
• Agile development and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing environments.
• Exposure to AI/ML, workflows, and data analytics is a plus.
